We are sad to hear about the death of comrade Gregorio „Ka Roger“ Rosal. His death is a great loss for the revolutionary struggle in the Philippines, but as well for the international revolutionary, Marxist-Leninist and workers movement. The youth lost a glowing example in the struggle against exploitation and oppression. His toughness in class struggle, the work on the front line of the guerrilla front, his persuasiveness and coherence to and among the masses, his modesty and selflessness – those are experiences and qualities, from which we the youth can learn a lot. It is impressive to hear that 110 guerrilla fronts fired a red salute as the highest honor of the CPP and in several cities manifestations took place in order to remember him. We took up the cause of winning the masses of the youth in Germany for the revolutionary struggle for a world without exploitation and oppression. We take Ka Roger as an example and we will make his life and actions known to the youth in Germany. Our sympathy and is with his family and the comrades. Long live international solidarity! GREGORIO "Ka Roger" ROSAL: A True Voice of the People. The Antonio Zumel Center for Press Freedom expresses its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and comrades of Gregorio "Ka Roger" Rosal, spokesperson of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), who died of heart failure last June 2011. The Zumel Center at the same time, pays tribute to Ka Roger for being faithful to the ethics of journalism as a media person, broadcaster and propagandist.

Tribute to "Ka Roger" Rosal. The Red Party, Norway, conveys its deepest condolences to the Communist Party of the Philippines on the passing away of its former spokesperson Gregorio "Ka Roger" Rosal. We also express our condolences to the family, friends and comrades of "Ka Roger". Even if we most likely never had the opportunity to meet Comrade "Ka Roger" personally, we, the revolutionary friends here in Norway, have had a special relations to him, being the spokesperson of the CPP for a long period. He has been a symbol for a resolute revolutionary struggle for national and social liberation and a dedicated servant for the interests of the Filipino people. While mourning his loss, we will uphold his example and take inspiration from his struggle and devotion for our common struggle.
